Road trip to Mid Wales !!

This week saw us load up the Motorhome and head of to Mid Wales  for club visits to Llanidloes and Pwhelli.  It was a lovely Journey down in the sunshine and we set up camp in a beautiful site on the outskirts of the town in Llanidloes. After a short rest we decided to walk in to the town and find the venue on foot

We were met at the meeting by Vice president John and had a very lively evening where lots of discussions took place around their programme. Lots of work and lots of ideas were thrown around the table and the mention of people showing interest in Rotary and wanting to come along to the club was such great news. We were also given an update by Phil on Message in a bottle, the campaign to clean up our rivers and get rid of plastic in our waters. It seems to me that tis is a very community orientated club and there are a range of ages and skills at their meetings. The club seemed very healthy and we really enjoyed our visit. To make things better there were a couple of visiting Rotarians from Edinburg who very kindly gave us a lift back to the campsite as they were staying there also !! We even had a nightcap with them in their caravan and talked Rotary until the early hours !!
