Well this job is certainly time consuming and keeping up with the blog is more difficult than i thought !! I have decided to try and do a weekly blog and im a bit behind !

July ended with a pleasant evening at the cinema. West Wirral club run these regularly and this time it was Mama Mia !!  A great new film which attracted a large audience. Together with the raffle i believe they raised about £1000. A great effort and a really nice night out ( almost like a night off for the DG !) I was able to thank the club when i did my official visit a couple of weeks later.
I also enjoyed a visit to Willaston and South Wirral club, a young club who have a relaxed attitude towards Rotary, they are doing good things in their local community and i hope they manage to grow !
Next was a visit to Llan Penn. Having visited with GSE teams in the past it is always good to receive a warm welcome from them here. Nice to see some Rotarians dressing for the weather in shorts ! Some great discussions went on in the committee groups and there appears to be much going on in Llan Penn !



Next visit was to Southport Links !

 

It was great to meet up with President Patricia and the club. With the Southport Flower show just around the corner it was great to hear their plans and how they wanted to get more publicity out of the show and have asked for district help to achieve this. Hopefully next year the Public image team will be able to take this on in a similar way to the Eisteddfod.





Next stop was St Asaph !  Again a very busy club getting ready for their main event the St Asaph Country fayre which is  their main event for the year. A real buzz around the room and obviously a club with great fellowship. Thank you to President John and all for your hospitatlity.

A Trip out to Ruthin came next and a strong message was sent out regarding membership from their chair. The club have lost members at an alarming rate over the past few years and are determined to stop the trend. A meeting has been arrange to discuss the issue and full district support was offered. Thank you president Cyrus for your warm welcome and to the club members for coming over and having a chat !  ( sorry no pictures i forgot !)

Thank you President Terry and all the members for your welcome. The president did spill tea all over my notes which im told was accidental however it did not affect the DG's presentation, or the length of it ! From the chatter around the table and the buzz in the room i expect lots of action from this Club this year with Terry at the helm !
