So with only a few weeks to go i suppose i should get started !!  I will be off to Toronto for the convention for ten days which will bring me back to the UK full of enthusiasm to start the year and hit the ground running. The lead up to the year has not been straightforward. Getting a team together is not an easy job but there are those that you can always rely on. Throughout the year i would love to see some younger and newer Rotarians joining the district team. Just to get their feet under the table and see how it all works. If your reading and your interested you know where i am !!

The training in Riga and San diego was an incredible experience and i have made so many contacts along the way. I feel i have friends all over the world who are going through the same experience as me. It is so different from club Rotary and it is easy to see why Rotary is such a huge organisation with lots of opportunities for every Rotarian.

On return from Toronto my first duty will be at the Chester Raft Race on 1st July so stand by for photos ! At lunchtime i will be officially installed as DG at the ins and outs lunch, always a pleasant afternoon. I am so looking forward to the start of the year and getting around to see how the grass roots of Rotary is happening around the district. That is where the real work is done by the clubs !! I will not be publishing this blog till 1st July ( rules are rules !! )  So stand by for further updates !!
