Presidential handover at Mawddach

The most beautiful drive down to Mawwdach today even though we got diverted around Bala. The scenery was simply stunning !

We went to the lovely house of incoming president Penny set in the hillside above Dolgellau. The current President Beryl sadly lost her battle against cancer just a few weeks ago. She was a very brave lady who fought till the end and made a video for club members and actually did the hand over to Penny on video before she died. The video was shown and it was a very emotional moment for everyone. There were also visitors from a German club which is twinned with Mawddach and they were long time friends of Beryl and were visibly upset by the occasion. 

However a lovely lunch was then served and we retired to the garden where we chatted and laughed for the afternoon. A lovely occasion and well worth the lovely drive down to mid wales. Thank you to president Penny and all of the members of Mawddach for such a wonderful day !
